Horseback Pack Trips, Horseback Riding and Camping Trip
Experience our beautiful wilderness spending a few days in the saddle on your mountain horseback riding vacation! With our 2 and 3 day overnight Idaho horse pack trips, you'll encounter true western hospitality as we provide mountain camp accommodations consisting of large wall tents with cots and a solar shower for added comfort. Many of our guests enjoy early morning or evening wildlife safari's heading out on scenic horseback riding trails or hiking where elk, deer, antelope and an occasional mountain goat or sheep can be viewed and photographed.
Goat Lake, at an elevation of 9,400 feet is an additional 4 1/2 mile ride from the Cow Creek camp. This secluded, beautiful Alpine mountain lake is loaded with native trout and offers some pleasant fishing.
If camping isn't your first choice, then you may enjoy joining Rawhide Outfitters for a 1/2 day, or full day guided horseback trail ride. We will delight you with homemade treats on our 1/2 day trail ride and a delicious picnic on a full day horseback trail ride. Spend your evenings in one of our area motels, Bed & Breakfasts or other inviting local Salmon Idaho accommodations.

Just a week ago tomorrow we started out on our wonderful pack trip. I cannot thank you enough for all that you did for us to make this such a great experience! The level of professionalism, skill, planning, care and service on our pack trip was truly extraordinary, but it was outdone by the vistas, the weather and most of all the high, high level of camp cuisine! I am already looking forward to next years' three day excursion.

We wanted to thank you all again for the wonderful two day pack trip! We had a great time in the Salmon mountains! We really enjoyed the horses. They were sure footed mountain horses on which we had a lot of fun, but also had time to enjoy the countryside. Thank you, Justin, for taking us on such great rides with wonderful landscapes and so much wildlife! Having a cold night, it was good that Cathy packed an extra sleeping bag for us. Thanks, also for preparing such delicious meals! You did a great job and we will recommend you where ever we can!
