Fall & Spring Steelhead Fishing Trips
Our Salmon River fishing guides have many years experience to ensure the highest possible success rate using a wide variety of both traditional and modern methods. This past fall 2009 steelhead run was one of the largest on record. These large steelhead numbers are arriving here on the upper Salmon River, Salmon and Challis areas finishing their spawn run.  Big fish numbers and good water clarity with a small amount of low snow run off will make this a great steelhead fishing Spring.  Fly fishing steelheaders will have a great time as well, as these fish stack up on the gravel bars and channels. The hatchery steelhead returns have been very successful with a strong native run as well. We use dory-type drift boats equipped with heaters. All methods of steelhead fishing techniques are used, but primarily we like back trolling plugs or bait and steelhead fly fishing, depending upon the preference and skill level of our fishing clients. A fisherman sized lunch is prepared homemade, hot and very tasty. Steelhead fishing on the Salmon river is truly an unforgettable experience! Summer Salmon River Trout Fly Fishing / Spin Casting Trips
In July & August we specialize in drift and wade fly fishing, dry or wet fly-fishing and/or spin casting depending on personal preference. Experienced or novice, our fishing guides can explain any technique or strategy needed while you are trout fishing to catch a fish. We drift through a very beautiful section of the Salmon River, stopping to wade occasional good runs. We encourage catch & release normally averaging 20 to 40 fish days, ranging from 12 to 18 inch rainbow and cutthroat trout. Many of our clients are surprised and comment on the low amount of fishermen we see for the quality of fishing and beauty of the river. 1day fishing trip includes a fisherman size lunch that you can pick from a variety of choices.

Salmon Guided Fishing Trips
The Salmon numbers are lining up to be a record as well.  The 2009 season was a great success.  The Salmon season started June 20 and went through the second week of July.  Big numbers of Salmon and good water conditions made for a very fun and successful Salmon Fishing season.  In fact we are going to spool up with heavier line as we broke off some very big Salmon!  This coming 2010 season is predicted to be better yet!  The Idaho Fish and Game Department are formatting the season dates and information should be released by sometime in May.
