The Cranney works as a team to provide an Idaho outfitting service which offers personal and quality treatment of each and every guest, keeping their enjoyment and safety a top priority.
Because of John and Cathy's love for the outdoors, specifically the Salmon River Valley, and the desire to spend their lives doing what they enjoy and sharing it with others, they started Rawhide Outfitters in 1989. As sons Justin and Luke have grown up in this special way of life, they now are looking forward to sharing and instructing each of their children, Sage, Jared and Noah, in their many areas of expertise in the great outdoors.

BEST RAFT TRIP EVER. We so enjoyed our whitewater raft trip with Rawhide Outfitters and consider it the BEST raft trip we have ever done (and we have done a lot)! Our guide was fantastic and the lunch was delicious with homemade banana cream pie for dessert!! Thank you so much Rawhide! We will be back again!

Rawhide's Idaho Outfitters family operation guides outdoor adventures on the Salmon River and in the beautiful Salmon Valley!
We will be happy to custom plan your memorable Idaho vacation guided by Rawhide's knowledgeable licensed Idaho outfitters and Salmon River guides. Horseback Trail Rides and overnight horse pack trips is a great way to experience our beauitful Salmon River Valley. Salmon River Rafting and Steelhead fishing, Salmon Fishing or Trout fishing lure our guests back year after year. Historical buffs really enjoy visiting our local Sacajawea Center on our Lewis & Clark Tour.
I have fished in a lot of places with a lot of guides and have never been with a more knowledgeable and professional group. The fishing trips were really a treat especially with friends rowing the boat!
